Privacy policy
How SiteStand collects, uses and protects personal data, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Who we are
Zionstand Digital Technologies is the data controller for personal data collected through SiteStand. Each business that builds a website on SiteStand controls the data its own visitors send through that website, and we process it on their behalf.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email, phone number and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Identity check result: whether your NIN or BVN check passed, and the provider's reference. We do not store the ID number itself.
- Website content you enter, and the business details on it.
- Payment records: amount, date, plan and Paystack reference. Card details are handled by Paystack; we never see or store them.
- Support messages and any forms you send us.
- Technical data: IP address and browser details in security logs, kept for a short time to protect the service.
Why we use it
- To provide your account, website, domain and support (performing our contract with you).
- To verify identity, prevent fraud and keep scam sites off the platform (legitimate interest and legal obligation).
- To take payments and keep financial records (legal obligation).
- To send service emails such as receipts, password resets and renewal reminders. We send marketing only if you agree, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
Only service providers who help run SiteStand, under contract: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Paystack (payments), Resend (email delivery), our identity verification provider, and domain registrars. Some of these providers store data outside Nigeria; we rely on their contractual and security safeguards for those transfers. We never sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Account and website data for as long as your account is open, then up to 12 months to handle renewals or disputes. Payment records for six years, as tax law requires. Security logs for up to 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to some uses, or withdraw consent. Email support@zionstand.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, staff access is limited and logged, and sign-in is protected against repeated guessing.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and store light preferences such as dark mode in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies.
